The first thing you should ask yourself is what do you hope to expect with your autoresponder service?

For instance, if you are looking for a service that can be effortlessly integrated into a wordpress theme (in a widget), then there are a variety of email services you can choose from.

Is your list going to be used primarily for commercial purposes?

Another thing to consider is whether your autoresponder will be used to generate a list solely to sell things. It is important that you look at the terms & services of your service to make sure that you are compliant with what they say you should use it for.

For example, some list building services will forbid you to use their service if you are promoting network marketing opportunities. Others are designed exclusively for MLM list builders.
